Alessandro (Alex, Alx) Sorgente is a young skateboarder who is already a seasoned traveler and a skater of all terrains. He has been to Europe many times to compete in the Quiksilver Bowlriders where he won the junior session 2 years in a row, the Slamtrick in Italy, and other prestigious European skate events. In the USA he has taken 1st place overall in Grind For Life Skate park Series for the past 5 years. He also does well at the Vans Warped Tour, Skate park of Tampa contests, Florida Bowl riders and any local competition he enters.
“What I like about Alex the most is that he loves to session with the older guys and he learns so fast. When you show him a trick, he picks it up right away. He always skates as hard as he can. He has a heart and passion for skateboarding unlike any other kid I've ever met. He also helps with the Grind for Life demos and knows that he is helping GFL raise awareness about helping people with cancer through his skateboarding. Daniela Sorgente is dedicated and determined in everything she does. She has maintained presidential honor roll status her entire school career while incorporating five days a week towards intensive optional level training in gymnastics. She is working towards fulfilling a dream career in front of the camera by attending the highest ranked school in her district, an inspirational school which requires all students to audition for admittance. Daniela has earned numerous awards in both academics and the arts including, math, dance, piano, and theater. Daniela is both conscientious and caring. She is an inspiration to all who know her because of her personality, hard work, and achievements. An inspiring quote from one of her teachers reads “ I promise that if you keep going in the direction that you are going, you will be a star.”- Miss Lundquist communications instructor.
